A Courtyard House in West Delhi

The site was surrounded by neighboring properties on three sides, limiting natural light and privacy. The brief also required separate spaces for grandparents, parents, and children while ensuring the family still felt connected throughout the home. Achieving openness without compromising comfort became the project's biggest challenge.

The design organizes the home around a landscaped internal courtyard that draws daylight deep into the interiors while creating visual separation from surrounding buildings. Public and private zones are connected through generous circulation spaces, allowing family members to interact naturally while maintaining individual privacy. Carefully selected natural materials soften the architecture and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
